Percy Jackson's life was perfect. He had friends, a girlfriend, a family, and a home. His mother was expecting her first child with her new husband, Paul Blofis and Percy's new step father. He lived in a nice apartment where he was always welcome during the school year and summer. At school, Percy wasn't degraded or berated for being different. He was smiled at and he gave smiles to anyone who wanted them. The Olympians had heeded Percy's wishes and spent more time with their kids and accepted Hades and Hestia onto the council without any fuss. Then it all fell down. Everything he'd ever built came crashing around him. Everything he'd sacrificed, everything he'd done, everything his friends had sacrificed themselves for disappeared in a cloud of smoke and a few words. His friends abandoned him, his girlfriend broke up with him, and the school turned him into a social pariah when they found out about his night terrors. His family ostracized him, kicking him out so they could raise their new child in peace. The gods banished him from both Camp Jupiter and Camp Half-Blood, claiming that Percy was a threat to their existence. He was pushed into the mortal world, cursed with his father's godly scent to be hunted and slaughtered like an animal. But he continued to kick and scream and drag anything that came at him to Hell by their hair. As Percy navigated the mortal world of corruption, he realized that mortals can be monsters too. That they are corrupt, selfish, and blood-thirsty people. Armed with a gun, a sword, and mortal steel, Percy sets out to create the perfect dynasty. The one no one would forsake. The one Heaven can't break. The one Hell could never take.

Percy is betrayed by everyone but Thalia, yet even she is taken from him. About to end it all, he is stopped by a mysterious all-powerful immortal and given a chance to do it all over again. But not as a son of Poseidon but as a son of someone else. Someone Dark. Follow Percy as he goes on a war path to destroy the gods of Olympus and make new gods in their place.
