After life threw Alexander around for years, things finally started settling down. He had a loving family, an education, and caring friends. A home. But of course, the world isn't quite done with him just yet. When he starts talking to John Laurens, supposedly bratty, snobbish, rich John Laurens, and finds out that what people say about him are nothing but myths he finds himself tangled on a secret friendship which eventually morphs, quite accidentally, into something more with the South Carolinian. He can't let people know about them, especially not his lovable but oh so overbearing brother Lafayette. It gets even worse when feelings are thrown into the picture. But whatever, what Lafayette doesn't know won't hurt him, right?

John hated the fact that he was a siren. He hated his tail that he was forced to tug everywhere. He hated that flirting was practically his second language. He hated his appeal to random sailors that happen to cross his path, but most of all he hated his voice. His "gift" that allowed him to lure in any man for his own personal desires. John could never imagine himself even being tempted to use his gift of song, but when he gets caught in a certain pirate's net, he may have to bend his own rules - for better or for worse. John Laurens hated pirates, absolutely despised them. They steal, they kill, they smell, and much more. But what really pushes John over the edge is the kidnapping of his sister. John goes out to find her. He lands on an island where John finds a locket that shows him who he needs/wants and where to find them. Not long after another gang of pirates come to steal their boat. Captain Alexander Hamilton needs to find the locket of Amour, he just had to if he ever wants to find his wife again. He and his crew finally find the island only to see the locket was taken, in rage Alexander sets out to find the locket and kill anyone in his way. After a storm; Alexander and John are stranded in a new unknown island. A pirate and a pirate hater. One willing to die for the locket, the other willing to kill.
