"Stop it, Dax." I wouldn't meet his eyes, I couldn't. His hot breath trailed up my neck, his soft lips ghosting over the exposed flesh. He chuckled when my back arched involuntarily, my cheeks flaring hot and pink. "It's Officer Rivera, to you." His deep voice rasped quietly in my ear. "Besides, you don't want me to stop, Princesa." "If you don't stop, I'll-" "You'll what?" He interrupted, smirking against my jawline. "Call the police?" Jane Kingsley is a Veterinary Medicine major at the University of California-Davis. So when August unexpectedly retires, Quinn can't help but feel relieved...until she finds herself with a new assignment: spend the summer in August's hometown on Evergreen Isle and write a flashy retirement piece on the Warrior's biggest star. It would be easy enough...if it weren't for the team's secret agenda: convince August to return to New York. It would be easy enough...if it weren't her job on the line if she doesn't see it through. It would be easy enough...if it weren't for the heat in August Fletcher's eyes.

"Fuck my life.." I grunted. I can't believe my last words were going to be useless. I half expected it to be "tell mom I love her" or some sappy shit like that. But turns out my last words we're utterly useless. How I got here? Trust me I don't know, I was sipping the liquid from my red cup the first second and the next thing I know is I'm running towards him. ••• Well, Juliet Evans have always hated the football team due to the trauma they inflicted on her brother- they outed him from his closet, if you know what I mean. Ever since that day they have been harassing him physically and emotionally. As his twin, she took it upon herself to protect him- if she had to swing a fist, you bet your asses she would! Here enter Luke Rivers, he was a part of the "No Brainy Bunch" as Juliet liked to call the Football team. Sure he stayed in the sidelines and watched his friends do horrible things- that's what Juliet hates the most, the bystanders who never bat an eyelash when it comes to abuse. He was automatically an asshole by association. Because after-all, Birds of the same feather flocks together right?

Best Ranking: #5 in Teen Fiction - Preview- "Do you actually care?" he questioned, raising an eyebrow tauntingly. I grinned, trying to emulate his easy humor. "I mean, I guess I have nothing better to do than listen to you complain about having scholarships most guys would kill for," I teased. "Besides, you're the most popular guy in school. I'm sure everyone will love to read all about dashing Luke's college troubles on my gossip blog. Since I'm a little kid, you wouldn't expect me to take this conversation seriously, now, would you?" Luke reached over and tickled me, laughing. "You're a brat, you know that?" I stuck my tongue out at him, pushing him away. "You know you love it. Besides, it worked. You're smiling and laughing and acting like yourself. Mission accomplished." - Reviews- SSA_Catherine: Omg I love this book cannot wait for the update.
