During their first year at UA Bakugo is kidnapped during their field trip. They never find him. It's been 5 years since then. Bakugo's parents both moved after 3 years, giving up and not being able to live where their memories of their son were. Deku has become the #1 pro hero and even dedicated a monument to His Best Friends memory. But after a raid of a building some villains were using as a head quarters... Deku finds him... but he looks and acts so differently it's hard to believe it's him. His hands are scarred to the point he can not use his quirk, he's lost significant weight, and he's very docile to men that are bigger than him. Deku is determined to at least make him happy again...
