Mariah Jade Grey is 21 years old, freshly graduated, and trying to figure out what comes next. She's stylish, sarcastic, and guarded- always has been. After losing more than she ever talks about, she's learned not to get too close. Love doesn't stay. People don't stay. So she keeps herself safe: with ambition, independence, and the quiet ache of something missing. Kyra Reyes is 30 years old, the kind of woman with a camera in one hand and someone new on her arm- easy, unattached, free. Nothing ever sticks: not the girls she leaves tangled in her sheets, not the art that never quite feels finished, not the whispers about her being a player. But when it comes to Mariah, everything sticks. Every glance. Every laugh. Every moment that isn't supposed to mean anything, but somehow means everything. As their best friends build new lives and the city around them quiets down, Mariah and Kyra find themselves circling each other, drawn together by late nights, unspoken truths, and the weight of everything they won't say out loud. It's there in the way Kyra looks at her. It's there in the way Mariah never quite lets her go. And when the silence finally breaks, it changes everything. What they have isn't just friendship. But it isn't love. Not yet. Maybe not ever. Almost. But is almost ever enough?

It's just noise. A phase. A girl with too much confidence and no filter. But the thing about Cassidy is she's not that easy to shake. And the longer Emory tries to ignore her, the harder it gets to tell whether she's annoyed... or addicted.

This is a standalone, mature sapphic romance. Cara Laurent dislikes risks. She's always been the planner, the organizer, and the picky one of her friends. Naturally, she's been bent out of luck when it comes to romantic relationships. So, when her friends encourage her to jokingly put in an application for a new reality dating show - she definitely didn't like it when production called her weeks later to offer her the position. But, Cara was tired of shitty hinge dates and conversations that led to nowhere. She was already approaching her late-twenties and all her friends were settling down - so why not take this risk? Ready to put her love life on national television, all seems to go smoothly until she's introduced to the rest of the cast. To her dismay, she's met face to face with an almost ex-failed-hook-up-slash mutual friend of hers - Emily Sinclair. Notorious for being unserious, unfaithful, and irritating as hell - Cara is livid to find out she's going to have to spend six weeks attempting to find the love of her life while ignoring the only mistake she's ever encountered.

Natalie and Evie are very different people. They are very different in age, in income, and at different stages of their lives. Natalie is a partner in a law firm, and Evie is a law student. They meet at a work function of Natalie’s, where Evie is a waitress, and talk. Natalie is lonely, and attracted to Evie, and on impulse she offers Evie money for sex. Evie wonders whether to accept, or be offended, or quite what she should do. In the end, the simplest thing seems to be to say yes, because she quite likes Natalie as well. So. Ta-dah. Romance. Or it’s trying to be romance, like the gritty end of romance. So HEA or HFN in the end, promise, if anyone cares, but with some worky and friendsy and chick-lit stuff along the way. And smut, obviously. But maybe slower getting to it this time, so as to keep the romancey going. Anyways, that’s what this is, just to say all that so people know. And also, thank you for looking, and being interested, and I hope this one is interesting too! An ebook of Evie's Job is now on Amazon too, by the way :)

Now. Now's my chance. Everyone has already gone up to bed and it's only Evane and I left downstairs as the last movie ends. Despite the late hour I feel wide awake and I know Evane is still effected by my flirting and the bikini I wore earlier because she keeps glancing over to me, her eyes always lingering around my chest until she realises I've caught her looking. As the credits roll, Evane switches off the TV, stretching out her arms above her head. She looks over to me, seemingly surprised that I'm still so awake since I'm always the person who gets sleepy first. Before she can open her mouth to speak, I beat her to it. "Evane, can we go upstairs to our room? I have a surprise for you," I say, trying to hide the wide smile that wants to come over my lips. Her brow raises, wondering if I'm serious though I notice the realisation come across her face that this has something to do with what I've been hiding from her in my suitcase. "What is this surprise?" She teases, leaning forward until I can feel her warm breath washing over my face. "Something I think you'll love," I reply, trying my best to not get overly flustered as she starts flirting and teasing me. She hums, giving my lips a small kiss. "'Love', huh? Sounds exciting," she chuckles. "Let's go upstairs then, shall we?" *** Humans are unaware of mate bonds and are even less aware of other human-appearing species, but one vampire is determined to make her human mate understand the world she never knew existed - even if its not always through the most conventional methods.
