During the summer before their sophomore year, resident outcast Jughead Jones and small town teen Archie Andrews shared a sweet, blissful and lustful summer romance together, which aides in the two love-struck boys developing feelings for one another. Like most high school romances, they usually come with complications, and those complications begin to shine through as soon as they kick off their school year. Will Jughead and Archie get the romance that they've been longing for?

"You left your windbreaker at my house, Archie." Reggie said, handing my red jacket over, his touch lingering. "You should leave it there more often." Reggie whispered, pulling away and leaving quickly.

"Romeo and Juliet are the exception not the rule." *** The south side serpents, aka the ones who are always depicted as the bad guys. The residents of Riverdale are taught to fear them, along with all of the other gangs that inhabit the small town. Archie Andrews, Riverdale's very own golden boy, always followed the rules, that is until the day he met a seemingly innocent boy with a head of thick black hair. The two instantly form a connection, which turns into something more. But there's only one problem... Jughead Jones, the outsider with a passion for reading and writing, is a serpent. But he is willing to drop everything to be by Archie's side. However, the other gangs around town aren't as soft and are not too happy when they find out about this forbidden romance, and neither is the rest of the town. Will Archie and Jughead's love be enough to protect themselves against the war that they have just fueled? Or will society get the better of them?

The cocky Archie Andrews writes the inconsequential Jughead Jones a letter each year that he knows him, but he never sends them out. Somewhere down the road Archie's hidden emotions start to pour out into those letters. Along with a bumpy road and two best friends struggling to find themselves in the world.
