So he becomes friends with Percy and finds out a lot, and realizes that Percy is actually innocent. The Avengers decide that they should confront him themselves and ask him to go with them for questioning. Little did they know Percy didn't like that idea. During that time the illness took away Izuku's sight leaving him permanently blind at the age of 7. Deku was almost ready to give up on his dream of becoming a hero, but Kacchan didn't let this happen. Instead he found new ways to help Izuku through the blindness and even got him special combat training.
