They have to face the rest of their days in solitude, now that they will face the shame on their own. Back at Green Hills, Tom and Maddie agree to leave Sonic at home, while they go on vacation. Even though, they were persistent on staying with him, from the fact that he is still trying to get over [Name]. But, Sonic insists on them leaving. Although, no sooner are they gone, Dr. Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, whom is [Name's] childhood friend, in search for an emerald that has the power to both build and destroy civilizations. Sonic, then teams up with Tails and reunites with a certain [Animal Name], that arrives back from gaining an intellectual message of the dangers draining through towards Sonic.
