Phoenix es la nueva niñera de los aburridos Tucker. Al otro lado de la calle, Walter cuida a los Morgan, los reyes de las bromas en el vecindario. Cuando estas familias se cruzan, se desata una guerra vecinal que quizás despierte algo más entre los niñeros. *** Phoenix "Nix" Carusso necesita un empleo de verano para pagar los daños que le hizo al auto de su padre y la vía más rápida para conseguirlo es cuidar niños ricos. Es así como solicita el empleo de niñera para cuidar a los Tucker, esos extraños niños rubios que siempre están en casa. La vida con los Tucker es algo aburrida y ella se pone la tarea de avivarlos un poco. Lo que Phoenix no sabe es que del otro lado de la calle se encuentra Walter Finnegan, el niñero de los Morgan, quienes tienen un comportamiento inaceptable. Walter ha tenido el empleo desde los quince años y ahora con veinte se convirtió en el líder de sus travesuras.
