"What was it like to witness the creation of the universe?" "Terrifying." When Atara, Merc, Cal and Lilith wake to darkness, they're each more than a little afraid. With no memory of who they were before, and with the universe bursting violently to life around them, they must work together to survive and to get home - wherever that may be. Because the longer they stay in this dark new world, the harder it is to do so. © 2015 by shayebay This novel is entirely a work of fiction. **Initially known as "Our Very Real, Experimental Marriage." ** "I vow to be the best thesis that you have ever experimented. For today, for tomorrow and for one year." The priest now stared at him like he had just seen an elephant make love to a lion. Then he turned to me. "Your vows, my dear?" I shrugged, "what he said." "Very well then," he made us turn towards the people seated. They were extremely confused. "I now pronounce you, husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride." I was about to protest before his lips landed hard on mine and they were gone just as quick. Son of a... But it was okay because I was extremely ready.

Having grown up believing that the Devil is God, Avalon Kandor and the rest of the youth living in the city of Eden spend their teenage years in pursuit of the one thing that matters: the title of a Pure. Awarded upon the completion of their education, it is both expected and an extraordinary honour. But becoming one of the Pure isn't as easy as you would think. Twice a year, for every year they attend school, the youth of Eden have to sit the Test: an evaluation of their knowledge and belief in God. In the younger years, getting a few questions on the Test wrong is nothing of concern, but upon reaching high school things start getting dangerous. Make a single misstep and you could face Expulsion and life as an impure. Get a wrong answer on the Test and you'll be Removed - permanently. Avalon knows the risks that accompany disobedience - has experienced them first hand - but when she's told that her world is based on lies, she'll do anything to find out the truth. Even if the truth turns out to be worse than not knowing anything at all. © 2014 by shayebay This novel is entirely a work of fiction. Meet Kitty Proud, a wallflower who prefers to blend into her background. Ever since her mom died, she had receded into a shell, emotionally blocking herself from everyone. Meet Wesley Bane, who doesn't seem to understand 'walls'. He is cocky, arrogant and finds great pleasure in getting on Kitty's nerves. But sometimes when someone has walls as thick as Kitty's there needs to be a conceited jerk to shake her world and make her live again. - "I like a bit of danger," Wes whispered, his grey eyes shining. "Yeah?" I said in a flat tone. "Then you have nothing to do with me." "It's the quiet girls that are the kinky ones," he winked. I blanched, but tried to keep my cool, "And it's guys like you who're man-whores." He opened his mouth to say something but I quickly cut him off, "Well, if you don't mind, could you kindly remove your hand?" I looked pointedly at his hand. His eyes had a certain glint to them as he winked at me before he squeezed his hand. The cap sprang off, hitting my face as coffee spilled over my hands. I shrieked as the hot coffee scalded my hand, effectively causing me to drop the cup. I was glad to see that I dropped it on Wes' shoes though, causing it to satisfyingly splatter onto his jeans. "What the hell?" he shrieked, jumping back. "Don't 'what the hell' me!" I shouted at him. "What is your problem, Bane?!" "Well, you see, there's coffee on my shoes now," he frowned. "They were expensive too, you know." I huffed in irritation, fuming, "If only money could buy decency."
