"Embracing the darkness isn't the same as embracing a cat with the name dark in their name." Around SkyClan the prefix Dark is usually associated with evil cats of the past. Since SkyClan cats have completely forgotten the complete past, they don't remember their old leader who added an additional rule to the warrior code. All they remember of the name Dark was Darktail, a vicious rogue who almost destroyed SkyClan and ShadowClan, and Darkstripe of ThunderClan, told to be the one who poisoned a little and almost killed her. But, Darkpaw's mother didn't name him after Darktail. She was told about Darkstar, a wise dark brown tom who made an addition to the warrior code, by the SkyClan medicine cat who saw him once in a dream long ago. An addition that brought respect back to many clan leaders after him. Darkpaw is cast aside due to his name, only his family and a nice young cat named Sunpaw, who is very sunnyside up believe he's not what his name suggests. Can he prove to his clan he's not Darktail, and that not all cats who are named Dark are evil, or will he taint the name even further as he tries to prove his loyalties while facing a dark foe?
