The angels have fallen. Castiel lost his grace, and is now a human. He experiences hunger, cold, need, but still pondered at the thought of love. Dean takes him under his wing and helps him understand his new way of life; every aspect. Even though his grace is lost, the affair between a man and an angel is forbidden. Not to mention, an angel and a Winchester. In addition to the internal conflicts between the two, they also have to worry about the bounty put on Castiel's head by the other fallen angels.

Basically a Ranger's Apprentice short story featuring our favorite characters and a lot of emotions. Disclaimer: Most characters and events referred to belong to John A. Flanagan, author of the entire Ranger's Apprentice series. Is set after 'And About Time Too' in the eleventh book The Lost Stories. Headcanon story and could thus have happened.

When two Rangers mysteriously go missing it's up to Halt and Will to find them. However things don't go as planned and soon they find themselves trapped in the clutches of a past enemy, the Genovesans. While imprisoned they learn that the assassins are in league with the Temujai who plan on invading Araluen. Will they be able to escape... or is this the end? Dean and Castiel are married now, and they couldn't be happier. Their life is finally making sense. But then an old ex of Dean's, Angel, becomes a mechanic at the shop where he works, and he rekindles a friendship with her. Although Dean has no ideas of romance, Cas can't seem to let it go, and Dean must figure out how to convince Cas that there is only one angel he truly loves.

Castiel never liked people, and although he has nothing against his college room mate Dean personally, he finds that Dean is no exception. But Dean seems to like Cas like no one ever has before, and Cas is starting to think maybe people aren't all bad.

What do you do if you're forced to go to college and share a dorm with someone? Doesn't sound bad? Well, try hiding wings on top of it!
