25 year old Castiel Novak owns and works at the local café in town. He knows the small Kansas town like the back of his hand; it's his home. He knows the the regulars by name, what they drink, and the amount they tip. But, when a new costumer from out of town discovers his small, self-owned, Café, he realizes he didn't know everything as well as he thought he did. And, that includes his own sexuality as well as the new guy in town.

As a cut off angel, it's hard to blend in with the normal crowd. However, Castiel is doing quite fine, outliving everyone else as a simple cashier at the local Gas 'n Sip. Sure, he may never understand humans, but it's a privilege to watch them go about their simple lives, while never progressing in his own.
