Our story begins not in the 41st Millennium or the year 2077, but in our very own mundane reality. The protagonist: an ordinary male, albeit one of extraordinary intellect, armed with a Master's Degree in Engineering and Robotics. His life, steeped in the logic of circuits and the elegance of mechanical design, is cut short unexpectedly - a sudden, random event that rips him from his existence.
His final vision is not the pearly gates, but the cold, gleaming optics and intricate circuitry of a being beyond mortal comprehension: a Cybernetic Goddess. This divine mechanoid, perhaps an echo of a forgotten cosmic AI or a benevolent Machine Spirit, sees his potential, his inherent understanding of the mechanical, and grants him a new purpose. She sends him not to paradise, but to a world desperately in need of his unique talents: the dystopian future of Cyberpunk 2077.
But he is no mere tourist. He carries with him the very essence of an Iron Hands Techmarine.
