August 2, 2012. The day humanity fell. Having gone through an environmental cataclysm, planet earth has deteriorated into a vast wilderness inhabiting the aftermath of the war that pulverized populations. The remainder of humanity's strongest reside in the protection of Strongholds, where clusters of cities strive within massive walls that separate the remaining humans from the man-eating monsters that nearly sent them into extinction. In this time, humanity's strongest are sent out to take back their fallen planet, but when the walls fall, all bets are placed on the outside and the unknown forces that reside in the supposed uninhabitable. Fang is one of many survivors left after the fall of his Stronghold, and he, along with the companions he's gathered along the way, must rely on their abilities as they undergo a dangerous battle that may or may not cost them their lives: the battle of ultimate survival. [SAMPLE] In a world ravaged by holy war, Ari clings to one truth: mouths lie, but blood does not. When the past surfaces in fragments, he turns to Auovin, a demon who offers answers-and demands a price Ari does not yet understand. As the war's lies unravel, Ari's certainty fractures with them. What he thought was righteousness becomes control. What he thought was monstrosity becomes familiarity. The closer he draws to the truth, the more he is forced to confront the one thing he cannot outfight: what he is becoming. Daevas: Volume One opens a three-volume queer dark fantasy saga of remembrance, moral rupture, and the peril of being fully seen. For readers of Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire, it is a story where identity and monstrosity are impossible to separate.

Jack Graham also known as Ciphersyntax or affectionately as Cipher, is one of the few top-tier PvP players of the game known as YGGDRASIL. However, despite being this, the game was merely therapy for him as it kept his mind off of his deceased younger sister who died tragically in front of him. So killing other players in duels and raids slowly lost its appeal and roleplaying became an allure to him as an another escape from reality. Jack met Suzuki Satoru at his place of business and eventually the two of them bonded. Learning they both played YGGDRASIL, Suzuki invited the guildless Jack to the Guild known as Ainz Ooal Gown. It had been years since then and he had become an integral member of the Forty One Supreme Beings in the Heteromorphic Guild. Ciphersynatx was widely referred to as The Great Devourer, or the All-Consumer, due to his main super-tier spell called Assimilation which allowed him to absorb NPCs and Players within a certain level range to himself to gain additional attributes, spells, skills and jobs. As the end days of YGGDRASIL came nearer and the other members of the Guild began to quit. It was eventually only down to Momonga and Cipher in the end, neither wanting to part from this virtual reality.
