I have been a ghost on wattpad for quite some time now, reading stories within the werewolf genre. For my own benefits, I have added the best of the best in this book. I find that sometimes they are overshadowed by all the not so good that I read and therefore I needed a place just for those perfect books whose authors I really enjoy. I am slowly publishing the list, because I know how difficult it is to find that brilliant book on wattpad - like a needle in a haystack. Well consider this book a magnet - a guide for you to maybe discover some of those great books. The Games; once a year, unmated wolves that had hit maturity from various packs would gather in hopes of finding the other half that would complete them and then live happily ever after... at least, that's how it was for the males. For the she-wolves participating, it literally meant life or death; if none of the males present were a compatible mate, you could very well be executed in the arena for being 'defective'. The Game of Mates was an archaic and barbaric way for wolves to find their other halves, at least that's how Alexandria and Danielle Cruise saw it after the death of their elder sister whom had been torn to pieces at the end of The Game. With a twist of fate and a dash of sass-there was no doubt that the twins would take this year's Game by storm-with Alexandria leading the helm and her sister at her side.

The characters are highly complex and they exist in a world that values strength over compassion, only the strong survive. The life inside the pack mimics that of a real wolf pack with a strict hierarchy that is established through fighting and power. It is also comparable to a medieval court, the king holds his divine right to rule and the queen exists solely to please and support the king. Throw in scheming courtiers with the ability to change into wolves with sharp claws and fangs and you have the pack construct. As the characters are basically wolves housed in a human skin and the story is laced with animalistic references and traits displayed by all. We first meet the main characters Meela and Grey it is on a bloody battlefield where they recognize each other as their soul mate, and Grey takes Meela as tribute for his pack's help in her brother's fight. From this point on Meela belongs to Grey, and in this world, a highly spirited female with a propensity for impulsive actions matched to a dog stubborn, self-assured, dominant male is going to cause problems. We follow Meela in her journey to become the pack's Luna, a pack who are even more wolf than the one she comes from, and with a mate who has set the highest standards for her to reach as his Luna(female Alpha) and will accept nothing less than perfection. In the midst of all this and the struggle they face to form a personal and public relationship, there is one incident that will change them both and the fate of the pack completely. From that point on both Meela and Grey are inevitably changed and for them to be together, either one or both needs to change, but when you live in a world where you are taught that weakness is easily exploited and to admit defeat can potentially lead to your destruction. When Vanessa makes a bet and she ends up losing she is forced to go to school as Little Red Riding Hood for Halloween. But when her sister gives her a stolen gift for her Birthday, will she be in trouble for it or will she end up discovering a secret with it. The Wolf is the classic villain. He is mean, greedy, and doesn’t play well with Little Red. But what if all that changes. What if The Wolf is actually a Werewolf? What if Little Red was this Werewolf’s mate? Rather than cold, the word lonely suits him better. His cynical smile, his eyes - they all look empty. It was like he was tired of everything; traditions, the world, fate. I turned to face him and asked for his name. He only answered, "Noah", as if understanding my reason for questioning. As he opened his mouth to announce that my time is up, we both froze and stared at each other incredulously. It seemed that the world was keen to make a plot twist in my ending story and the empty pages of his life to pair us up as destined mates. His face was torn in between shock, joy and terror. He called out my name and reached out for me, to pull me away from the cliff of my supposedly destined place of death. It pained me to see him that way, so afraid and hopeful, but it pained me more to even imagine a life with a sadistic mate like him. So I jumped, into the dark abyss of death, away from the terrors of my mate.
