How can someone see how much pain I am in and do nothing? (On a temp hiatus for editing's sake)

It is Christmas, and a certain family of bats (or birds) is ready to enjoy it. But there are some difficulties, namely, a boy named Leo Valdez, a little boy who is spending time with the Wayne family until a spot in an orphanage or foster home opens up. Overall, he is a jokester, an annoying person who does all the wrong stuff at the wrong time (or is it right time?) he always smiling and joking, but he is so stupid. And besides, he doesn't know the 'secret' yet. That makes it difficult to to give weapons for presents. But this Christmas, the youngest of the Wayne's finds something unexpected about their part-time guest. That maybe, just maybe there is more to this unwanted gleeful child than what meets the eye? That he is smart if only you pay attention? That he is sadder than he lets on? Or maybe, he knows more about them, and certain relations, than they do? This is my seventh story and the first one I am publishing. Please add any critics you may have so I can improve my writing. Please no hate if it has no information on how to improve. It was a couple years after the Battle of Hogwarts. A lot of people were finally getting over their shock of the war. Well, most. There were still plenty of people who were still grieving their friends or family's or people they just knew's death. George, for instance, hasn't told or did a prank in months after his twins death. They were practically two puzzle pieces, and if put together, the best prank combo ever. Also, Harry was devastated when Remus and Tonks died, he tried not to show it though. He didn't want people giving him sympathetic looks and what not. Remus was the one who taught him the patronus charm and saved his life countless of times. And Tonks always shifted her form to a pig or something and made him laugh. There were also loads of other people who were grieving also and Hecate was getting worried. You see, Hecate gave four mortals the ability to use magic, but threw magic sticks instead. They soon after made a magical school to teach young witches and wizards to use magic. Centuries gone by and the story of how they got there magical powers twisted and turned until Hecate was out of the picture. Now Hogwarts and many other institutes around the world are basically Hecate's pet world. Anyways, the one person who Hecate know that has gone through the most heartbreak, trauma, and betrayal and that is still sane is... Nico Di Angelo. He will know how to sympathize for these wizards and help them cope. But will the young masters like him? Will they be scared of him? Or will they think he is one of the best teachers at Hogwarts? How does one function without family? (On a temp hiatus for editing's sake)

Nico di Angelo gets adopted by Bruce Wayne after Batman witnesses him stalking around a cemetery in Gotham in the middle of the night. He doesn't want to move in with Bruce, but seeing as he can't supply any proof of his parents or even his own birth records, he doesn't have a good reason to say no. It's Bruce Wayne or the foster system so Nico decides to take his chances with the billionaire. What he didn't anticipate is that he isn't Bruce's only child, or that the man is more than meets the eye. Nico gets dragged into the Batfam and has to learn their secret while trying to hide the mythological world from the greatest family of detectives in the world. No Nico ships. It would get in the way of the plot. I will try to keep at least somewhat accurate with the rest of the books. Everything belongs to Rick Riordan or DCU.
