the COVID-19 Pandemic of 2020 caused many deaths. It brought out the best, as well as the worst in all of us. As of October 5, 2020, the death toll surpassed 210k. Thankfully, many of us went on to survive... but what if we hadn't? What if, out of the 331,002,651 Americans, only 18,804,000 had survived the pandemic? The year is 2030. The remainders, are the the ones that Covid didn't get. The remainders of all 50 states, have all been 'adopted' and relocated to New York, adding up to New York's original population count, and a wall has been built at the outer city, in order to keep Covid out. Riots, death, and inhumanity, have become the new normal. Desperate to bring back the States' once thriving populations, the post-Covid world, now run solely by young adults, has fallen to drastic measures; such as, assigned partners, selling, euthanizing and 'testing' the 'Useless' ones, and marshal law. In order to be a 'Useful,' you follow the laws- (1) don't question (2) stay within the wall (3) men: stay loyal to your assigned women, and women: stay loyal to your assigned men (4) Don't become useless.
