After her father's affair blows apart the only life she's ever known, Y/N wants nothing more than to disappear. Apparently, her mother has the same idea.
Trading Ontario for Sterling Point, the two rent a cottage for the summer with one rule: no talking about the divorce unless necessary. For the next few months, there will be no lawyers, no fighting, no whispered phone calls from her father. At least, that's the plan.
Then Y/N meets Oona.
She finds her sitting at the end of a dock on one of Y/N's first nights in Sterling Point, and what begins as a conversation between two strangers quickly becomes something Y/N can't stop thinking about. And then, of course, there's Annie.
Annie lives next door to the cottage Y/N and her mother are renting. She's impossible to avoid and even harder to figure out. Annie is equal parts infuriating and magnetic, with a habit of showing up exactly when Y/N doesn't want her to.
Y/N came to Sterling Point because she needed a summer where nothing mattered.
Instead, she finds herself caught between two girls, slowly realizing that leaving Sterling Point might hurt more than anything she came there to escape.
