It all began when my father asked me to tutor an acquaintance's daughters together with my only friend, Fuutarou Uesugi. After many failed interview attempts and getting a job, Hachiman is left wandering to his next interview. But a suspicious man persuades him to deliver items to someone for a quick cash. Hachiman's curiosity was overwhelmingly stronger than his will and he decided to check what the box contained. That was when he was let into a dangerously life-threatening situation. Minutes after experiencing what it feels like to have a gun pointed at your head, he is miraculously saved by multiple anonymous people who seemed to be 'experienced' at their jobs. He was inspired by those people who also risked their lives to save others.
