This is a story based on a one shot from my Gotham One Shots book, if you want to read that, the chapter is named 'Jerome x reader'. This is also the edited version of Jerome's Little Toy. I did slightly change the first chapter from the one shot, but they are almost identical. Jerome will most likely not die... ever in this story. (Y/N)-your name; (Y/H/C)-your hair color; (Y/E/C)-your eye color; and I'm just going to assume you're short. I'll be adding onto this 'key' every now and then.

[Third book in the "Take Me Back" series] Since the death of Jerome, Y/N has been MIA. No one has seen her anywhere near Gotham. The longer she's gone, the longer Galavan is alive, but Y/N isn't the only one that has a grudge with Galavan. Galavan just can't keep his hands clean for more than a minute, causing most in Gotham to want him dead. Once Y/N hears of the plans Galavan has, she decides to return to Gotham. It seems to be at just the right moment, too. -If you have not read "Take Me Back", or "Get Them Back", I highly recommend reading those first-

Hello lovely readers! So far in my fanfic-writing experience, I have only written reader inserts for my other favorite show, Supernatural, so this is new to me. But I love Gotham and every aspect of the show, and we all know Jerome is a fan favorite. I wanted to try something new with it, so I hope you all enjoy! ------ Gotham has been your home since you were born. Gotham was in your blood. You loved everything about it. The people, the streets, the buildings, even the chaos. At the ripe age of 22, you're starting out your residency in psychiatry. You've been the smartest in school since you started attending, and so that carried on to graduate high school early, and pursuing what you found most interesting: the human mind. Ever since you were little, you'd been curious about how peoples' minds worked, how they thought, and how they processed things in life. Later as a teenager, your own mind had been fixated on one particular person. Jerome Valeska. He'd been in the news, and you'd learned everything you could about him that was available. You'd never thought that eventually, you'd get to meet him, get a look inside his mind, and potentially, even get involved with him in a way you'd never contemplated.
