john laurens and alexander hamilton have always hated each other. laurens hates how hamilton always gets the grade and is at the top of the class while he is miraculously passing his classes. but hamilton hates how laurens can always be himself, unafraid of being judged. when the two are assigned as roommates for their sophomore year of college, things happen.

That's how Medowveiw Camp for Teens got started, back in the eighties. Now it's run by George Washington and his wife, Martha who is a licensed therapist. It's another summer coming up, just like the rest. After a while you can kind of link all the kids together, they're all the same anyway. Broken home, bullies, eating disorders. You name it, they've been to the camp. Some kids have been here too many times. John Laurens, for example. Seventeen and having been attending the camp since he was fourteen. He absolutely hates it, it's the same every year and offers no help whatsoever for his so called mental illness. He wants this year to be his last, but something changes his mind from the moment he steps into his cabin.

Whether it be just simply talking to them or playing a song on his ukulele for them, it would 99% of the time work. Alexander Hamilton was a tough case, though. Kind of a loner, some might say. Ok so this is basically just a Marliza Soulmate AU cause thoes are always 8/8. So like you get a tattoo on your wrist as soon as you touch yoursoulmate in some sort of way and ye thats oretty much it. I'll add some drama in this revolving around James and Maria and i'll attempt to add some angst in this (i suck at angst but i'll try) but that probably wont happ for good amount if chapters.
