Okami-Tsume
Death was supposed to be the end.
For Task Force 141, it came in a single deafening instant. An improvised explosive device tore apart their convoy, ending the lives of Captain John Price, Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley, Sergeant Johnny "Soap" MacTavish, and Sergeant Kyle "Gaz" Garrick before any of them had the chance to fight back.
Instead of darkness, they awaken before an ancient deity who rules over the crossroads between worlds.
Their wars are over.
The deity offers them something no soldier has ever been given: a second life. Not as heroes, not as chosen saviors, and not as weapons to be used by another kingdom. Simply as four men free to choose their own destiny in a world where castles pierce the clouds, dragons dominate the skies, monsters roam untamed wilderness, and magic shapes the fate of nations.
There is only one gift.
Each man may choose a single extraordinary ability to carry into their new life. One may wield overwhelming physical strength capable of slaying giants. Another may command the very flow of mana. A third could forge bonds with monsters that would rather devour humanity. The last might master an entirely different path, one limited only by imagination.
No respawns. No radios. No helicopters coming to extract them.
Only steel, spellcraft, and the brothers who stood beside them in life.
As the four veterans carve out a place in an unfamiliar land, they'll discover that surviving a battlefield is one thing. Living without orders is another entirely. Whether they become wandering adventurers, mercenaries, nobles, monster hunters, or legends whispered about in taverns across the continent is a choice they'll make for themselves.
After a lifetime spent fighting other people's wars...
They've finally been given a world worth living in.
