Lloyd Garmadon has been living at Darkely's since the age of four, after being abandoned. He'll be turning 15 in six mouths, making the decision to try and run away from Darkely's for good. The ten years spent at the school has made him fearful of everything and everyone, unable to trust people. Having dealt with physical and mental abuse. When he escape Darkely's he is hungry, cold and scared. He's caught stealing candy and that's when the ninja's showed up. Sensei Wu recognizes Lloyd, and tries to convince him to come back with them. Lloyd is terrified and has to be dragged back to the bounty. He won't look anyone in the eye and doesn't get closer then 50 feet from everyone on the floating ship. Kai feels the most empathy and is the most gentle with Lloyd. Something inside Kai breaks to see lloyd in such a state of fear. Trying to help the others understand that Lloyd just needs to be cared for and spoken to softly. Kai slowly starts to gain lloyds trust. Cover art is not mine and I do not own ninjago. Lloyd Garmadon has never fit in anywhere, and by the looks of things he wouldnt ever. A social out cast no matter where he went. In his eyes, he caused all the problems for his mom. His father, Lord Garmadon, hadn't given him such a good reputation. In every small town, Lloyd would finally settle down. Then have to move again. And now he finds himself feeling as if he's on death row, and no post bale for him. They are moving to Ninjago city, a place he yearns to flee from. But at his new school, he falls for the unexpected. Kai Smith. The most popular, sporty, douche you could find. How could could the worlds biggest loser ever catch the eye of someone like him? Or is it easier than he thought?

Lloyd,Koko,and Garmadon are now a full family again. Garmadon gave up ruling Ninjago city and was now being a father to Lloyd to make up for what he missed all of Lloyd's life. All of the bullies have changed their point of view on Lloyd but his still frightened by him if Garmadon is near. A day that Lloyd comes to school,Chen (the cheerleader) wants to make up to Lloyd after everything he had done for him. Hoping they could be friends. Or possibly more! Chen had always had this "thing" for Lloyd but made fun of him for being the son of Garmadon. All those times he bullied Lloyd,he was crushed inside. Will Chen confess to Lloyd?
