In a time set in the future, cats of good and bad are reborn - and they look awfully familiar. Firestar, Sandstorm, Graystripe, Ravenpaw, Hollyleaf, Silverstream, Whitestorm, Bluestar, Yellowfang, Tigerstar, Mapleshade, Crowfeather, Leafpool, Tallstar, Thistleclaw, and Ivypool are just a few of the cats reborn. When an omen is sent of a fire striped like a tiger burning bracken, the cats must figure out what it means as Tigerclaw is slowly rising once again to take over the Clans.

This is the story of a Clan called MapleClan. MapleClan is not like any of the other Clans in the forest - they do not treat she-cats the way that they deserve to be treated - instead, they treat them with disrespect and cruelty. They believe that she-cats are only important for making kits, nothing more, nothing less. But all of that changes when the medicine cat receives a mysterious prophecy.
