They're friends, right? Friends make jokes like they do all the time; you can make inappropriate jokes about your friends and not mean it. You can joke about how much you're in love with them, right? Right? Dream and George have been and will always be friends, even when George smiles like that, and laughs like that. Even when every word he says adds another butterfly to Dream's stomach. As one day the young Y/n is sent off by one of the writers to send a note to hell she was so nervous since she never even set foot on the bridge. The only thing dividing heaven and hell is the very long bridge/border that connects the two lands. It would take a human many hours to cross it but since wings exist there it's faster once you know how to fly.
