Dark flower, a story of a refugee and her family from the war torn country of Lao. Where they flee from the wrath of the communist into the comforts of democracy that had abandoned Lao in the first place; as she endures the conditions left to her by the many rippling effects of a war...that last about a decade.

These poems are not for the faint of heart. They are about extreme loneliness and human anguish and suffering. This book is even about wanting to die and and love being the cruel adversary that will not allow the writer to ever to obtain it permanently. When this book comes to dealing with morals the writer want to do the right thing however knows they are only human as well. Torn between sin and morality; there is the dread of uncertainty and confusion. Also this book alludes to being in mental pain from experiencing depression.
