This is a fanfiction for Danganronpa based on an AU that I fell in love with. Basically, what if the Mastermind behind Hope's Peak wasn't the real Mastermind at all? **WARNING** This short story contains major spoilers for the show Danganronpa! If you haven't seen it, or even haven't finished the last episode itself, please be aware that this will spoil it for you. Like, the first word is a spoiler here. And it also has spoilers in the tags, so be careful. It's like a minefield in here. Just thought it would be nice of me to share, because I hate spoilers and tend to be stupid and run into them anyway. Also, this AU is not mine. This is only my opinion of how it would go if this AU had really happened. I would credit the creator, but I can't find the original source of this AU. If any of you know, please share with me so I can credit them. I also had to change a tiny bit of the wording in some of the parts from the animation, where I got the beginning dialog from, because it was actually pretty dang hard to understand what was being said in a couple of parts, and who knows, maybe the entire sentence was different in the subbed verison. Celestia is a very wealthy girl, Naegi Makoto is your average boy, They both attend Hope's Peak High, one day Makoto Naegi happens to cross paths with Celestia, he sees her gambling, then her father spots Naegi, then orders him to keep this between the Ludenburg family and to Him and to be Celestia's so called "Pet".

He stepped into the school thinking, "I'm gonna as great as them! I'm gonna graduate and show the world that even a ordinary and talentless person like me can graduate! And I'm gonna make tons of friends in the school! Those people who bullied me, I'm gonna show them that I, Makoto Naegi, can do it! Oh, how wrong he was. History always seemed to repeat itself. "Maybe they'll stop after awhile," he thought. It just got worse. Everyone had a limit, so did he. He was about to tip over that breaking point, when he met someone who treated him nicely, treated him fairly and treated him well. "Junko Enoshima isn't like those people. Class 77 has been admitted to the Neo World rehabilitation program, but an unfortunate event occurred and a computer virus managed to reach them and now they are forced to participate in a horrible Mutual Killing Game. Naegi Makoto, the person in charge of the rehabilitation project seeing this obviously was not going to sit idly by, I tried several times to get rid of the virus, without result. When he ran out of options, he had to take drastic measures, which was nothing other than getting himself into the Neo World program. What consequences will this bring? No, more importantly, will it achieve its objective and save everyone? or Will he die in the attempt? The cover is not mine.
