During the attack on New York by the chauturi, there were many people that couldn't be saved by the Avengers and Justice league, Y/N being one of them. Waking up in hell, Y/N met a demon by the name of malebolgia who offered him a deal of a life time, become a hellspawn and rule his army and he will be returned to the mortal realm to continue living his life, Y/N accepts the deal and takes the mantle of spawn, with his new found powers, spawn took to the streets and began to kill those that were sinful and unfit to live. Word spread of the new vigilante and the population saw him as the hero they needed and deserved, of course this wasn't ignored by the avengers and justice league, learning of this new vigilante, they began a search for him, either to recruit him and stop him from killing people or arresting him for murder is unknown. One thing is for certain though, if they use force, Spawn isn't giving up without a fight. Not a chance in hell.
