10 days ago the apocalypse began. 5 days ago I got bitten. 2 days ago my heart stopped beating. Today, I live in fear of the "survivors" who kill all of our kind before even registering what has happened to us. Most of us fully "turned" and became savage canabalistic beasts but some of us are... special. We didn't lose our minds. In fact I feel even smarter than before, as if some button in my brain was pressed by the virus. Enabling thoughts and abilities I didn't even know I was capable of. I suppose you could call them "superpowers" - if you wanted to sound childish. Most people call it "The Gift" but the survivors see us as mutated monsters who should be exterminated. Tonight we make our stand. Written by TheGifted
