It is the day before the Fall Formal when the beautifully decorated gym erupts in a mysterious slime explosion. Rainbow Dash, although innocent, is sentenced to clean up the mess, while the Fall Formal is being postponed, much to the chagrin of the other students. Twilight offers her help to the distressed Rainbow Dash. As they start cleaning the gym, they also have to face the angry reactions of the other students together. But Twilight has a secret agenda that Rainbow must not learn about. Set in an alternate Equestria Girls universe where the events from the movie have not happened.

Rainbow Dash has been committed to Fluttershy for years,but when coming across an old friend at the gym,her whole world is turned upside down. Trying her best to keep a tight grip on her situation, Dash is barraged with a plethora of questions and decisions with confusing outcomes. Pinkies POV. "If you really care to know the truth, Fluttershy, I will tell you" I stated as I sighed heavily. I haven't told anypony the truth, the truth of how I got my cutie mark, the truth of how I met rainbow dash, how the cyan filly forgot all about our adventures in the mental hospital. I hadn't told anypony about the fact that I killed my father. How I fell in love. I had kept the story bottled up in me, thinking that the only way I could keep rainbow safe is if I hid the truth from her. But the truth was hard to contain, I felt it breaking at the walls within me, begging to be free, to be spilled across the floor. I played with my pink bouncy mane as Fluttershy stared at me with her azure eyes filled with concern. "Well, it all started on a rock farm..."
