This is the sequel to the book: The Place Where It All Began. After the events of the battle, most of the Ninja think that their brother is dead. When Nya finds clues that points to Jay possibly not being dead, they think that Nya is in denial and that she has gone crazy. Nya then leaves the bounty and will not rest until Jay is found. Someone wakes up in a realm that no one has ever heard of before. There isn't just 16 realms in Ninjago. There are things that's don't always seem to be what they look like. In this realm, there are clues that point to the possibility of The First Spinjitzu Master still being alive.

This is after Season 6. After Jay and Nya reuniting, the blue ninja tried to give Nya a necklace that represents their love until a group called Dragon Riders causing the ninja to defeat them. One of the Dragon Riders was aiming for Nya but Jay went in front of her and hit the ground very hard. Opening his eyes, he doesn't remember who he is or even know anyone. This breaks Nya's heart and the ninja with Skylor and the side characters to find a way to bring his memories back before the Midnight Dance comes up. The worse condition is that if Jay doesn't get his memories back before midnight on the Midnight Dance, he will lose the true him and will be confused forever.

Nya is an orphaned blacksmith, abandoned by her older brother long ago. Life is tedious and uneventful, until one day, a visitor arrives and changes her life forever.

After the events of skybound, jay is having trouble dealing with what happened. He is depressed and has a breakdown. With his friend's help he may be able to get through it all. Or will a villain from the past come back to destroy jay and force him to relive his trauma. I know this is a really lousy summery but the story is pretty good so give it a read. Afraid of letting the people he love die in front of him, Jay end up going with Nadakhan. Meanwhile, Nya got back from the doctors and got shocking news! (You readers can guess of what happened to Nya). Realizing her boyfriend haven't come back, she and the rest of the Ninja figure out what happened to Jay.
