After the incident involving Krall on Starbase Yorktown and the rebuilding of the Enterprise, the trusty crew and their ship set off on new adventures. But unknowingly, a space-time anomaly similar to that of what happened to the Romulan ship which was destroyed years ago appears, absorbing the Enterprise while in warp. Now she finds herself in a strange new world similar but different to her own, with new life forms, the Kansen as well as the Sirens, dotting the planet.
