Katelyn and Marcus are on opposite sides of the musical spectrum. Katelyn, a gifted youth, has never tried a single bit in choir yet has been labeled best high school soprano in Texas. Marcus, on the other hand, is quite unfortunately not naturally gifted but his dedication to singing is his most admirable trait. As Marcus learns that his father is on the brink of death and only has a couple of months left to live, he dedicates himself to practicing a song his father composed to perform at the school talent show. The only problem is the song is a duet. In search for a soprano to sing the duet with him as a eulogy to his father, a timid Marcus approaches Katelyn.
Read as personalities clash, laugh at childish innocence, and cry when hearts are broken. Live alongside Marcus and Katelyn as they begin to understand what the music of living really means to them.
