ah, it's been several months since you've last seen your master. no matter how hard you looked, you couldn't find em. once you reach 4 months of age, it doesn't take long for you to realize the gravity of your situation. it hurt but you decide to power through it. besides, beach city isn't too bad. especially when that Steven person established peace across the world, you should manage better. besides, it's not like you're gonna be alone for much longer. --------- come on, you know this was gonna happen eventually. nearly everybody has fallen in love with this emotionally damaged bubblegum baby. including me. Lars and Steven are trapped in Steven's bubble, floating around in space, waiting for the Crystal Gems, or Topaz, to take them back to Earth. Since Steven and Lars are stuck in space, they have conversations, which leads to Lars admitting that he liked being fused into Stars. Linked one-shots, focused on Pearl. Budding: No one would ever tell a pearl she isn't allowed to think. That would require a pearl's thoughts to matter, and they don't. Flowering: It's hard to have conversations between different gems. Rose knows she's probably just annoying the pearl like she does everyone else, but she can't help herself. Fruiting: They didn't call her rebellious at first. They called her stolen.

Pearl waits too long to confess her feelings, and her unknowing beloved falls in love with an earthling, who could, according to Pearl, only be described as messy, unhygienic, unimpressive, and altogether undeserving of Rose's love. Dealing with jealousy and intrusive thoughts for lovestruck space rocks 101.
