This story takes place in Junior year in Beach City High School. This book is about a nerdy depressed teenager in love with a girl she has no chance with, or maybe she does? Peridot is set off foot to college and having a new life. But what she doesnt know is that fate had other plans for her. Fast forward a bit. Peridot's new room mate, Lapis Lazuli. But little does she know that Lapis is hiding something from her. Will Peridot know what she's hiding and end up in a bad situation? Or end up in a good and calming situation.

Peridot Greene is the high school nerd. Bullied, teased, name-called... She's capable of handling situations by herself. Lapis is one of the cheer-leading co-captains. Popular, fame, parties... She is feared by the unnoticed in the school. It's nearly the end of the year, one month away from graduation for the two. They bump into each other and it goes on from there. As their friendship grows into a stronger bond, Peridot's secret keeps her from being open towards Lapis. Will Peridot and Lapis get together before the school year ends and their paths separate? Peridot has been curios about the odd, yet quite attractive person that is lapis Lazuli, and decides to go to a party with her to perhaps see a new side of the tanned beuaty.
