Everything seems to be going well with Nick and Shannon. They spend every waken moment with each other. That they even started to write songs together. As thing continue to deepen in both the drama and the anecdotes, you are drawn deeper in. You have shared their laughter and tears but in this one you definitely experience the pain as well. The use of music as a vehicle continues to run as a theme here as well. If you like the first two books, you will have to be there for the end of this one.

As the story deepens you begin to experience emotions of your own as well as the characters. You are driven to keep reading through this second book.

The authors research give credibility to some facts, though it's still rooted in fantasy. The characters have personalities that really bring them to life. The way they all have an ease and intertwine give a foundation. All around a magnificent start to the series. Filled with twist and unexpected moments, it keeps you engaged.
