Hallie Castaneda is a junior at R. Sheehan Prep. The school year is almost over and Hallie is constantly nagged by her parents with questions about college. She and her best friend River Waters decide they need a break and some adventure. So they hop on a plane to Huntington, California and run into a surfer and a struggling musician on their search for adventure. Both love and fleeting moments make this story of a girl who just needed a little rain, one worth reading.
