20 years have passed since Eragon and Saphira have left Alaglasia. Together they have created a new order of the riders, and under the guidance of the riders and the benevolent rulling of Nasuada , Alglasia has flourished. Eragon and Saphira have traveled east down the Edda river, out of Alagaesia and into unexplored terrain. They must find a place to train the future dragon riders and keep the eggs and Eldunari safe. Meanwhile the few eggs left behind in Alagaesia have already begun to hatch, the riders need a teacher. They need Eragon.
