Every story needs a catalyst. For Wren Jamison, it was Walter Quinn. * * * * * Catalyst. Science will tell you it's a substance that speeds up change. So I looked forward to the day I would stop being a sleeping in, semi-seriously homeschooled, number one Dave Franco fan girl. But I never thought that day would come so soon, so quickly – and I never figured that Italian sports cars, designer clothes and an army of girls ready to claw my eyes out would come with it. And what exactly did I need to do to turn from a completely nutty nobody to the kind of person everyone kept their eye on? Simple. Just Add Walter. Copyright © 2014 CrayonChomper

** #2 in WATTYAWARDS** ** #24 in FUNNY!** **#3 in SHORT STORY** I whipped around to smell the scent of pine, cigarettes, and mint. Amused grey eyes shined, and dark, shaggy, brown hair filled my vision. His hands were in his low, dark jeans, and his muscled chest puffed out of his white t-shirt, and black leather jacket. His smirk made me tense up. "You." I glared. "Me." He smiled. The one person who could piss me off in a split second, the person who was the sole reason I am who I am today was leaning against one of the navy blue lockers. The atomic bomb just exploded in my life. And his name is Roman Quinn. DISCLAIMER: I wrote this when I was a good 12 years old. There are plot holes, spelling and grammar errors. However, this is the first thing I've ever written and somehow I am STILL proud of it and the grateful for anyone who laughed. (Even if it was just once). Viewer Discretion is Advised.

I felt a hand brush my thigh, pulling me out of my dazed state. I looked at the handsome boy and instantly recognized him; he was that Larken boy. The one Papa said to stay away from. But there was something about him that made me want to stay closer to him. "You're Will's daughter, aren't you?" He asked. I nodded, unable to find my voice. "Ya know, he told me to stay away from you. But." He ran his tongue over his lower lip, moving closer to me. "There's just something about you that makes doing that harder." I swallowed tightly, looking into his blue eyes. They were like a crystal pond, still and perfect. "He told me to do the same." I said, loud enough for him to hear. "Are you going to?" He asked, moving between my legs. "He's my father. I have to." I said, looking away from his mesmerizing eyes. The boy cupped my cheek, making me look into his gaze again. "No, you don't." He murmured. "It's a good thing to rebel once in a while." "What's your name?" I asked. "Emmett Larken." He said, smirking. "And yours, baby doll?" I opened my mouth to reply but Shawn cut in before I had the chance. * * * Eleanor Beal-Stevens always had a passion for the arts: singing, dancing, painting, drawing, and playing instruments. Her family wasn't a conventional one, but she loved them none the less. She was the product of an affair while her parents were still in their performing arts school, and her parents ended up marrying different people, that loved her like their own daughter. Emmett Larken was the bad boy no one liked, except all the girls he was with. A new girl on his arm everyday and his pack of friends around him, he never heard the word 'no' before. Then he met Eleanor, the one girl who he could never have because of her father. Will they be able to overcome their obstacles? All rights reserved Jane Dugan 2014

Elle Grayson's guilty pleasure is reading cheesy romance novels. Always has been, always will be. Maybe that's why she's never had a boyfriend - no guy can live up to her expectations of the guys in romance novels. She doesn't think there is one guy that can prove to be even half as decent as guys in books. But when there's somebody set on doing exactly that, things just might start to change. If you're judging this book by its cover and title, you're already proving the point this story wants to make. Try to move past this satirical obstacle in front of you. This is a story about bullying, and like the hundreds of other books on the topic, it will show you the harsh reality of being discriminated, belittled, ridiculed for something you cannot control- how you look, who you love, or what you believe in. But unlike these books, this story's sole purpose is not to tear your heart out of your chest as you mourn over your loss of faith in humanity. Instead, this book will make you laugh and love alongside these characters. Just like in life, there will be moments of dread and surrender, but there will also be moments of happiness, laughter, and love. - Naomi Lorraine, better known as Nerdy Naomi with her thick-rimmed glasses and straight-A report card, is the most unpopular girl in her school. Even with the help of her sarcastic comebacks, that doesn't stop her from getting bullied by everyone in Dartwell High. Every day her childhood bully, Raymond Meyers, knocks her off her feet, literally. However, she can't do anything but survive the laughs, insults, and bruises high school gives her. There are three senior transfer students, dubbed the Three Musketeers: Bennett Frazier, Jordan Wallace, and Declan Lynch. All in one day, Naomi catches their attention one by one. With her snarky attitude, but innocent look, they can't help but want her. But not the way you're thinking. Oh no, not like that. Instead, it's probably the whole opposite. It's quite simple really. She'll be their good girl. And they'll be her bad boys. ~ [This story is a first draft written by a 13 to 15-year-old girl so it has its fair share of grammar mistakes and plot holes.] Wattys 2015 Talk of the Town Award Second Place Story of 2015 Best Humor and Overall Points of The Fiction Awards 2016 Third in the Writers Awards 2016 Highest Ranks: #1 Humor, #1 Teen Fiction
