We all know Katniss Everdeen's experience in the arena of The 74th Annual Hunger Games, but what about Peeta's? Peeta Mellark is a merchant boy from District 12. His family owns the bakery in town and he works in it. Compared to many other children in the District he is pretty well off. But things aren't always as perfect - as perfect as they can get in District 12 - for Peeta as it would appear, and when he gets unexpectedly reaped as a tribute in the 74th year of The Annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death with only one winner, his life is turned upside down, especially since he is going in there to compete against the girl he has loved since he was 5, Katniss Everdeen. All rights go to Suzanne Collins for these books and characters, I just wanted to share what I believe would have been Peeta's experience.

Secrets. Some are best hidden from the world and from other people. Although, the more secrets that build up, the angrier a person may get.

We entered the living room and I looked up to see Hitoshi standing there. Our cheeks were both tinted red, but gradually got deeper as we looked at each other. Hitoshi had cleaned up pretty well. It was simple. A button up white shirt, jeans, his regular shoes, and he hadn't touched his hair at all. Me? I was dressed in a black dress with red roses on the end.
