The original version of "To You I Pledge" was written with mature scenes, which I think illustrate the deep connection between Merlin and Arthur, and so I wanted to share them, but I wanted the main story to be suitable for everyone. Hence I edited the main story to fade to black or gloss over the details, and am posting the mature versions of the chapters here.

"You still remember that day..." Arthur fell into a kind of melancholy, Merlin was completely different now. "I do remember everything. Every moment spent with you." He had no bright childish eyes anymore. His eyes were wiser, mature. He was a grown man now.

Guess what guys.. THIS IS ANOTHER PRINCE MERLIN AU. Merlin is a prince of a fallen kingdom that was overthrown by a traitor within its mists, having been sent to Camelot almost immediately after the fall, sent into hiding for his own protection. When word comes to Camelot that several Knights from a far off land will be arriving soon with urgent news, no one expected the secrets it would unlock especially when it comes to the one and only, simple Merlin. But he isn't as simple as he seems. *I'm rating this story M for Mature just to be safe because I can guarantee, there will be quite a bit of strong language, incredibly descriptive.. Descriptions of violence. Lots of violence in certain chapters. Lots of stuff. Enjoy!!*

On a hunting trip, the knights, along with a pratty prince, get into a bragging contest showing everyone their scars, what happens when they ask Merlin about his scars? What happens when he refuses? set in Season 5, Arthur decides to go on a hunting trip to get his head together after all the talk of Morgana. What he doesn't realise is a hunting trip doesn't always help clear your mind, sometimes it provokes more questions... DISCLAIMER: I do not own Merlin, all rights of the show go to the BBC. When Merlin had arrived within earshot, Arthur asked: "What took you so long?" "I'm sorry, sire." Arthur frowned, he had been waiting for a sarcastic reply from his friend but Merlin's answer was anything but that. Now he noticed how Merlin didn't look at his direction and his usual smiling was gone. "What happened?" Arthur asked with low tone. "Nothing." When Merlin still didn't look at him, he grabbed his friend's arm trying to get his attention. Merlin lifted his gaze, now surprised by the sudden touch. Their eyes met and Arthur saw a sadness in his friend's eyes. ____ Merlin was the prince of Airasan until the whole kingdom was taken and he had to flee. Now he's at Camelot as a manservant but what happens when some knights of Airasan come to seek for help to get their kingdom back. Is Merlin ready for his destiny? And what about his other destiny?
