Nestled in the Chicago suburbs rested the small, one school town of LaginaWood. A sleepy little city where teenagers drink, date, party, and hopefully study. Where citizens hail the Cubs without much reason, high school football is practically a religion--though is more often than not outdone by the annual school musical--and the occasional alpaca farm isn't a surprising sight. In fact, nothing came as a surprise to people of LaginaWood. Not the outcome of the 2016 World Series, not the casting of the latest musical, not the quarterback's numerous scholarship offers, and not the enrollment of new student, Cate Vadim. However, no one expected the thickening shadows gathering in corners, or the chill creeping through the town. Not even Cate. But she contended with it long ago, and she knows it'll only get worse. The shadows will only grow thicker, the air will only get colder. Unless she can stop it. Third Place Fantasy Winner of the Galactic Awards

Sean Leelan was a man of many faces. He was a doctor, a child, a magician, a hero, and a murderer all at the same time. After his best friend's death, he was left broken and wallowing in guilt, obtaining abilities he couldn't control and wishing he could just isolate himself from everyone forever. But now the ghosts of his pasts are coming back to haunt him all at once, and the choices he makes might drag the whole world down with him. And so the question remains: will he ask for help? Or will he perish trying to do it alone. Book 1 of the Hero(es) trilogy *under editing* Edited by @Aslan_Lives Submitted to the Wattys! Some of these characters have been inspired by Jacksepticeye and Markiplier's egos. Very loosely though, so don't spam me if there are some similarities. Cover credit goes to the Plasma Awards Community, thanks so much!

Atlantis was the first city to sink. Hundreds of cities followed, and millions of people drowned, swallowed by an unforgiving ocean. It seemed as if half the world was underwater. Among the few survivors was Ayesha Akhdir. In a post-apocalyptic world, Ayesha must navigate visions and voices, discovering abilities she can't explain. Ayesha soon meets others who have survived, each with their own unique abilities. She doesn't know why she's survived or what her purpose is. She doesn't have long to find out. "Just as the wave prepared to crash down and engulf the land, swallowing everyone on it, blinding pain erupted in my head, sending me staggering away from the window. Before everything fell black I heard a familiar voice roar in my mind. 'THE BEGINNING IS NIGH!'" The Beginning of what? WHAT READERS ARE SAYING "I love the Description and imagery..." It is written so that you don't need to have read the series to understand it so don't be deterred. Actually, those who have not read the series will likely get more out of my story. Some of the lines are the same for reasons that do mesh with the canon text.*
