He is placed in Hufflepuff, but with his dad being a Proffesor and the Slytherin Head of House he wishes he trade houses with Marinette. Marinette also believes she doesn't deserve to be in Slytherin and thinks she be in Ravenclaw. But they both have a secret, the two learn it in their 3rd year.
