"This is so not over!" I was getting very close to give this jerk a knuckle sandwich a la Kiara with extra spikes on top. Griffon grinned broadly. "Really? What are you going to do about it?" he challenged. "Are you throwing down the gauntlet, boy?" I sneered. "Because I accept your challenge. This is one one-on-one combat I will not refuse!" Meet Kiara Rivers. No, she's not a good girl. Far from it!! She's dark, mysterious, intelligent and cunning and the ultimate Bad Girl in the fact that she never gets caught in her evil deeds! Recently transferred to Salem High School from a school in England and is the Girl in the Leather Jacket who is not afraid to have a big mouth to student and teacher alike. To add to that, she travels by her motorbike and has a rather supernatural secret.... Enter Griffon Woodville. Salem High's resident Bad Boy and the guy all girls want to date at least once. Acts like a jerk in class even though he gets As, skips classes and gets the girls he wants. When it comes to guys and girls alike, he behaves the way he wants and everyone just accepts it. Well . . . . until September that is and everyone meets the likes of Kiara Rivers. After Kiara intercedes in one of Griffon's daily activities, bullying the so-called Misfits, everyone is shocked and amazed. Griffon on the other hand plots revenge and wages war on the Bad Girl. Kiara is more than happy to accept the challenge. Pranks, tricks, blackmail, spying and bets . . . . . but is it possible that the two monarchs of the Dark could ever form an alliance, especially when the two of them get caught up in something dangerous and deadly, and even develop feelings for each other?

(TH#3)“'If you can look me in the eye and tell me anybody has ever held you like this, kissed you like this, loved you like this, then I will let you go. I will leave and I will never come back.' And as much as I wanted to say that, yes, someone else had, I would be lying. Because nobody, not one person, had ever cherished me like he did." A father convicted of a murder, and Elsie was there to witness the entire thing. It should have left her scarred and afraid, but because of the help from Sam, a mysterious and kind stranger, she powered through it. He was her best friend, always there when she needed him most . . . Until he left her. Nearly eight years later and as Elsie finds herself stuck in a troubling situation under less-than-optimal circumstances, he suddenly comes out of nowhere again. But something has changed, with both of them. The secrets are heavier, the pain is greater . . . and what was once a friendship has turned into the roots for something more. Something that frightens both tortured souls equally. It's big enough, strong enough, to hold through, if they just acknowledge how much they need it to. Everybody has bruises . . . Some just take longer to heal than others.
