On a quiet afternoon in early Summer, Patrick pondered what it would be like to see her again. He had spent the last seven years waking up next to Jillian but not a day went by when he didn't wonder. With each passing year being without her hurt a little less but on any given day he could still feel her if he allowed himself. He could smell her on his skin, hear her laugh. Working with her again could provide a setback that would be impossible to recover from. That was just considering his feelings. He couldn't imagine the kind of havoc this was going to wreak on his marriage. A knock at the door broke the silence of the house and the chaos of his thoughts. It was on this Summer afternoon in Maine that Patrick's life would be changed forever. Could a knock at the door send his life spinning down another path?
