Ada never thought much of the fact that she had frequent nightmares of dragons. After all, all of the dragons were gone. The Kings of Theran killed the dragons and the mages they protected, removing all trace of them from the Kingdom. Until the Prince began to display signs of magic. His parents died not long after, and now Theran has its first mage King, obsessed with finding traces of the dragons. Ada had barely paid attention to the King, or politics in general, but when her sister is set to perform for the King, and Ada's mentor starts to act strange, Ada starts to think that maybe the King isn't the only mage left after all... The Crimson Dragon is a new series by author L.C. Mawson. If you love bisexual, autistic heroines fighting to save the world, you'll love this new book. Updates every Friday!

WATTYS 2021 Historical Fiction winner | Writers Of The Past Series. 4000 years ago, in an empire where women were little more than flowers on the wall, one princess cemented her story in history and changed the art of writing for centuries to come. *** Based on the real-life Akkadian princess and high-priestess Enheduanna, this novel explores the life of history's first author. An outspoken visionary with a talent for writing down her deepest emotions, Enheduanna's life is turned upside-down when the god Nanna chooses her to become the high priestess of Ur. As her power in the city of Ur grows, so does her list of enemies. But her own safety is the least of her worries when thousands depend on her to keep the vengeful gods happy, and their land safe. Either way, Enheduanna is not willing to go down without a fight. One way or another, she will carve her own path, and nobody is going to erase her from the pages of history. - part 1 of the Writers Of The Past Series -

"Witness reports say that some sort of Giant Dog was responsible for the carnage-" "Some bystanders stated that the teen was using a large bronze sword to fight some sort of storm spirit-" "Reports have come in of multiple One Eyes giants roaming around the country-" Six months after the Second Giant war, something is happening to the Mist. Mortals are seeing more and more of what is really there, and more and more are getting hurt. When generated by Demigods, it works well, but the general veil over the world has been ripped to shreds, and Hecate is missing. The Gods have a meeting with the Government, and it doesn't end well. Demigods, legacies, and everything in-between have been labeled threats and are arrested on sight. So what does a certain Tony Stark have to do with all this? The Avengers, or what's left of them after the horrible events of Civil War, have been given their orders: Number one Priority is finding fugitive demigods across the country. The Avengers that went with Steve Rogers are trying to do the opposite, find Demigods and get them to secure hiding places. You'd think there would be enough drama with all that. But what happens when a sarcastic, fourteen year old mortal gets thrown into the mix? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, I got this idea from a No-Mist one shot, but I don't know which one it was. It kind of grew from there. Anne is a lot like my other OC's from other fanfics, but I personally don't think that kind of sarcasm ever gets old. I am also very dramatic, so please don't make that awkward. Also, I will not be doing any swearing, and would appreciate it if you kept that out of the comments as well. Thanks for reading! ~lizbethen

A shattered world, a sea of sky, and a thousand islands linked together only by the ships that sail beneath the endless blue. Where island kingdoms dream of empire, old allegiances fray under new stress, and old secrets are being unearthed. And into this maelstrom of change, the Ravens' Child is born. They are a clan of four now. Vincent Locklear, cast out of Volante's navy, and carrying the fate of the sky in his heart. Mercy Larkin, giving up finding her place in the world in favour of building it. Anita Hoffman, adrift by choice with one ear to the winds for the family she abandoned. And Leslie Madrigan, stripped of his title by family, and his family by pirates and politics. And in their new ship, paid for by a burden that has shattered islands, they will make their own place beneath the endless blue sky. Children of unkindness, the Ravens' child. And the legacy of unkindness is sorrow. Sorrow, and wings. (Cover art by @rentachi)

**AVAILABLE ON AMAZON** (Book One in the Whispers of Nowhere trilogy) When Gwen's father gets home late from work, it's just another typical night for the museum curator's daughter. Still, there's something strange about the artifacts he's brought home this time, something so unique that she can't help but touch them. In a blinding flash, the artifacts vanish, and a mysterious man appears in their place. Only he's not a man at all. Forneus is a daemon, an intermediary between gods and man-and the guardian of the very artifacts Gwen has just unwittingly sent back to their places of origin around the globe. Gwen doesn't have time to absorb this before a new figure emerges: Phenex, the human-personification of the legendary bird, himself. The next thing she knows, she's being whisked away from the comfort of her home into a world beyond her wildest imaginings. When she thinks things couldn't possibly get any more complicated, she's proven wrong. Because those bizarre artifacts? They were protective seals to a place called Nowhere; a prison realm created by the gods to contain all of the malevolent forces Gwen has only heard about in bedtime stories. Now those very same forces are on the rampage, intent on revenge against the gods whom imprisoned them-and they don't care who else gets hurt along the way. Possessing innate powers she can't even begin to understand, it is up to Gwen and her two mysterious allies to reclaim the lost artifacts before someone far more sinister does...

I remember the day I first heard of them. I was driving my van with my mother in the passenger seat. The news channel was playing over the radio. The current story was suddenly cut off and a man's voice crackled over the speakers: "We interrupt this program to bring you breaking news," He began. "A new disease is spreading rapidly all over the world and infecting humans. Nobody is sure what it is; but we know one thing, It was stolen." A new voice came over the radio. "Hello, citizens of California! I'm here with Nicole Bradson, the leading researcher in Virus Studies at Baily University." The man said. "Would you like to tell us about this strange new epidemic?" A panicked-sounding voice came from the woman, she was clearly not pleased. "All I can tell you is to run. This virus was stolen from our laboratory. It was locked up for a very good reason. It is highly contagious and spreads through bodily fluids. You need to run from it. If it's too late to run, lock yourself somewhere safe until rescue teams can find you and escort you to safety. Do not panic." The man with the news crew interrupted her with questions. "Run from what, exactly? What should we perceive as a threat?" The woman paused for a moment as if thinking. "Do not attempt to approach anyone with red eyes. They are infected with the virus." Her voice trembled. "They are unstoppable." ~~~~~~~~~~~ This story is heavily inspired by "A Different Virus - Heartfire" by Crystal Scherer. If you haven't read it or "A Different Virus - Laura's Story" (Also by Crystal Scherer), please consider checking them out first. Finished it? It's awesome, I know. Well, here's my version, the story of Ivy and her struggle to survive the Apocalypse. Do you think she can do it? Or will she number among the ever-growing, ever-hungry horde of humans turned monster?

[HIATUS] After the war with Gaea, everyone assumed peace would finally enter their demigod lives. Nico was no exception, until, of course, he has the horrible luck of being chosen to go the one and only Hogwarts. In a school of witchcraft & wizardry, Nico has no idea what this quest is about. All he knows is that he's stuck for a whole year at a magic school, "protecting" a so-called GOLDEN trio, and having to get used to the company of 1 annoying demigod by the name of Will Solace. Oh Nico just knew this was going to turn out great. Absolutely amazing. Join Nico through his "awesome" "fun" & "educational" year at Hogwarts (okay... Who picked this name? I mean... Pig disease. Yeah um who wants to study there?) where emotions will surface, truths will be revealed, lies will be told, and the quest might just be a small part of all that's to come. [A Harry Potter/Percy Jackson Crossover with Solangelo sprinkles on top :]
