Different cultures, had imposed different expectations on their children especially girls in my immediate society, Hausaland. Here girls have to battle with the choice of either being westernised or culturized, which indeed isn't an easy choice for them. In this book, i am presenting a story about how the expectataions held by a society defines the roles of it's member, whether for good or bad. One thing i had kept in mind while writing this book is the sad fact that for generations my society had imposed some certain codes of behaviour for it's female members to follow which time and enlightenment, had managed to currupt for the better. Example of this, is in the challenging journey and personal transformation of the character in this book, Muna. It's a work which illuminates a path through which others can expand their consciousness, and chart the course for a future of enlightenment.

"I. Want. You." These words kept playing in my head like a broken record. What does that mean? His eyes looked so devious when he said that. A shiver ran down my spine remembering how cold his eyes were. I washed away my face pack and proceeded to scrub my body. I stepped out of shower, fastening the bath robe around my waist. I flipped my hair and wrapped dupatta around my head, dabbing it to dry my hair "I want you." I heard a voice too familiar in my ears. I whipped my head around to see pair of black eyes looking into mine. I was about to scream my lungs our when it disintegrated in thin air however whispers were still ringing in my ears. I turned back to mirror to see cold sweat beaded on my forehead. I wiped it away with tissues on the basin. I tried to regulate my heartbeat by placing my palm on my heart and breathing deeply. I was getting vibes that something unpleasant is about to happen. Sometimes you just rub your palms and wish that you didn't do something. A restless urge to undo something that impacted your life so much. Same is the case with Fatima. She wishes that she could just go back in time and never meet Ahmed Ali Rizvi again. If only she could just plainly undo him. #01 in #ChasingLove #01 in #RunningAway

Quran For All - In Every Hand, In Every Heart "Swearing By Other Than Allah, A form of Shirk" By Asma bint Shameem Today's topic is about something that we do every day, something we hear everyday, see others do everyday.....and we do not think much about it.... yet it is something VERY, VERY GRAVE. It is when we swear or take an oath on other than Allaah. Swearing on ANYTHING, OR ANYONE other than Allaah, is an extremely serious matter and is considered SHIRK, even if the person swearing is telling the truth. The Prophet (pbuh) said: "Whoever swears by anything other than Allaah is guilty of kufr or shirk." (Saheeh, narrated by Ahmad, Abu Dawood, al-Tirmidhi).
