His mother knows he suffers from anxiety, depression, and bullying but tries to hide it from the world. Soon enough, that pathetic smile he holds is broken.

In this story Izuku has had enough of being hurt and and put down. He starts doubting himself, hating himself. He starts changing and not for the better.
