She left The Scarlet Guard to pick up the pieces of the broken country and live in peace with her family and friend. But over time her need to be useful over comes her and she's leaves back to Norta to become that Lighting Girl she once was only to find herself closed off once again by the people she thought she trusted and the man she thought she loved. • Up in Northern LakeLand, there is a small town. A few minutes away from the town is house were a young women lives her ordinary life supporting herself in an ordinary way. But her ordinary acts and choices can never hide from what she is. A demon, or a monster as they say, that can't face her past even when it comes back to greet her again.

(Updates every other week at least) This takes place after War Storm, so there are spoilers if you haven't finished the book. Haunted by her past, Mare tries to adjust to life after a war, only to be thrown back into more chaos. After everything that has happened previously, Mare is still trying to find herself and ends up learning more about her own mind than she had imagined. Luckily, Cal is by her side and they are ready to face all danger together. Mare soon discovers that the Calore family not only has a passion for ballet dancing, but an obsession for power and money. It seems that the Calores control everything, including her own life. And yet, Mare Barrow wonders if the risk of destroying the Calores and their dynasty is worth everything that she's ever wanted.
